Longtime local Diana McLaren is teaming up with Izabella Venter from Terra Art
Gallery to bring you Terra HA HA, a night of comedy, music and art.
Diana is a local comedian known as The Queen of Over-sharing but she is also one
half of Cocoa And Butter Productions, a profit sharing production company focused
on creating safe spaces for performance artists from diverse backgrounds.
Meanwhile Terra Art Gallery was founded with the goal of creating a vibrant and
ever-changing space for exhibitions, events and art workshops as well as to facilitate a
welcoming and supportive space for arts to flourish.
The partnership came about when the two young women realized that not only did
their goals align but also their motivation. They want to help provide an entertaining
and fun night for the community while also supporting local artist. The artistic
community and especially those in the performance arts were hard hit by Covid and
as such are still trying to get back on their feet and this is just one small thing we can
do both for the community and for the artists.
Diana McLaren will MC this first show along with performances from multi-talented musicians George Bishop and Scott, local comedians Liam McCann and Malika, and Wayne Peoples II.Â
More about the artists:
Liam McCann may look like a young man but he's, in fact, an angry, philosophical and
fast-talking (not as young as he looks but still pretty young) man! Liam McCann is a
local legend, an amazing talent and very funny.
We'll also hear from Malika Elizabeth. Music, comedy, hula hooping, she does it all,
sometimes she does it all at the same time, but what else would you expect from a
woman whose alter ego is Titanimum!
Diana McLaren is The Queen of Oversharing, she tells stories of love and life and sex
with an insightful honesty and complete lack of shame that will have you laughing till
you cry. Having performed at festivals and throughout Sydney and the greater
Illawarra she’s absolutely thrilled to be performing in her hometown of Kiama.
We also have one half of the Cookie & Cream Podcast, Wayne People's II has a lot of names and a lot of laughs. He's an edgy, funny, American family man who is Wollongong's best comedian named Wayne.
More about the organisers:
Terra Art Gallery is a treasure chest of local fine arts during the day and a vibrant,
creative space at night : home to enchanting art, live music, art workshops and epic
events. Terra is run by Izabella Venter, who is always keen to facilitate meaningful
and quality events for the joy of our community.

Cocoa and Butter Productions was created by Malika and Diana, who began
performing together in 2017. In 2018 they decided to open a stand-up comedy and
variety night that focused on getting more women up on stage. So they created She’ll
Be Right, now successfully running for over three years from the Servo Food Truck
Bar in Port Kembla. They decided to continue their success by opening more rooms
including Sweet As Comedy in Wollongong and Not Bad Comedy in Jervis bay as well
as the temporarily on hiatus, No Worries Comedy in Kiama. And thus Cocoa And
Butter Productions was born. Their goal is to provide safe and supportive
performance environments and profit share with the artists who perform.
